To my dear valentine…
So Colleen and I came up with this FABULOUSSSSS idea! We decided what’s a better day to celebrate the not so greatness at times day that Valentine’s day can be, than by writing a love letter to ourselves telling ourselves what we love most about ourselves! We’re trying to get this movement going! So check out Colleen’s post and if you did one… put the link at the bottom of her post! Or if you want you can leave a comment on my post — letting us know that you wrote one
1st- I’ll be on my way to Austin in less than 72 hours! I CAN NOT BELIEVE that the half-marathon is almost here! oh em geee. Funny story– my sister who lives in New Mexico made plans last week to come for the race, but didn’t bother to look and see that the race is sold out! So she already booked her plane tickets, now she’s coming to Austin with hopes of getting a spot to run the Austin Livestrong Half-marathon!
2nd-ly, what’s a better way to embrace Valentine’s Day than by writing an Operation Beautiful note! Given, the note’s on my bathroom mirror— but hey I have to start with me
Operation Beautiful was started by Caitlin Boyle, of Healthy Tipping Point — please check Operation Beautiful out if you haven’t already and buy the book. It’s amazing and such a life changer!
My dearest Brittany,
I love my legs, as not as muscular as i would like to be, they are still amazing. I love that my legs allow me to dance and to be the carefree person that i am. I love that my legs let me drive on the open roads when i need to get out of the house. I love that my legs, take me places that i have never been. I love my size 8.5 – 9 feet, even though sometimes you look smaller!
I love your laughter and smile. When you smile, the whole room lights up. You can change all of the hate in the world, when you smile. I love the way that when you smile, the whole world can see the joy and happiness that is in your heart. I love that you can smile at just about anything. I love that you can laugh at just about everything. I love how sometimes, you’re just sitting there in the silence and start laughing histerically for no specific reason at all!
I love your kick ass hair. It is so amazing. If I were not you, i would be totally jealous of your amazing curls. How amazing it is that you are blessed with those beautiful curls. Sure your hair may have a mind of its own some or most days, but it really is quite amazing.
I love your heart. You are such a kind, sharing, loving, passionate, consideration, kick ass person. Any person in the world would be lucky to be friends with you. When you finally find that guy you’re meant to be with, all the wait and time will make it worth it. You are beautiful, talented, gorgeous, strong, and amazing!
You are so amazing. Keep being you, and no one else!!!
Love always,
Me

Thanks to you and Colleen for this idea! I most certainly do not have kick-ass hair. I have the opposite of kick-ass hair (straight and baby fine). Thus, my post does not mention my hair!

You are going to do FABULOUS on the 1/2 marathon. I’m soooooo proud of you!
Thank you for being such a positive influence on my life. <3 you!
Thanks Meg
I’m glad we’re friends! Love you too!
I love this post! I think it’s SO important to love (and take care of) ourselves so we can love people in a healthy and lasting way. If we don’t take care of ourselves, we’ll quickly run out of things to give to others. Keep on intentionally coming up with the things that you love about yourself! The more you focus on that, the more you’ll find!
