hot and breezy!
I arrived in Austin saturday afternoon. It was one of the most fun road trips i’ve had in a while.
I hungout with Jeanette at her apartment, once i got into town. Then we decided to take the Metrorail downtown, so we could save on gas and money for parking downtown. It was an interesting experience, but so fun! I hadn’t rode on a metrorail, since going to Disney World over 10 years ago! I definitely recommended trying one out, if u can!
Once downtown, we met up with my friend Julie! Love her
We walked around downtown at the Pecan Street Festival! This festival very much felt like i was back in Louisiana, even though i wasn’t! We had good and interesting times! We saw lots of different people– one of my most favorite things about Austin!
We even saw a guy being arrested for drunken/high disorderly conduct! Very interesting indeed!
Sunday morning, woke up, hungout, checked out a church, hungout with Julie, went to Zilker Park and relaxed in the shade while reading good books!
Went back to Julie’s, and i made one of the best lunch meat sandwiches EVER! It was soooo good. Whole wheat bread, 2 slices of pepperjack cheese, slices of oven roasted turkey, with a little pit of hummus and pretzels on the side! SOOO GOOD!
Then i went to my sister’s house, to meet up with my sister and brother-in-law. LOVE LOVE LOVE their new house! It’s so cute and lovely!
We walked around the neighborhood, got a good walk and sweat in, and my achilles on hurt a very little bit *knocks on wood*. So we stopped and stretched, and slowed our walking down. And it got MUCH better!!!!! THIS IS SO EXCITING and such a huge improvement!
We went to Target to pick up a few things! The we ate dinner, and it was time for me to get to bed! And i had no problems falling asleep, i was thankful for that!
This morning, i woke up, and got ready for my interview. I didn’t have anyone to take a picture of my full outfit, but i looked great and felt confident!
I feel the interview went well. So now we just wait and see how it goes!
Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes for my interview this morning!
Now, it’s time to enjoy and explore more of beautiful Austin!
