Glad you’re back for more of my good times in New Orleans :)

Well Saturday morning my dad got up early and went play golf at Audubon Park, my stepmom and cousin went to Audubon Park for a walk/run; but i did some MUCH needed sleeping in! And it was fabulous!

For lunch, we wanted to go to this place called Butcher, but the wait was 45-60 minutes and we were kinda hungry! We ended up at a cajun restaurant :) Mulate’s! So good :)

For appetizers, we had Boudin and fried alligator! DELICIOUS!  And alligator realllly does take like chicken :)

For my entree, i had a muffelatta! I’ve been living in Louisiana for 25 years and never had one! Such a tragedy! It was so so so good :)

I had an Abita Amber with my lunch :)

We next made our way over to the World War 2 Museum! It’s amazing!

Higgins boat

"Why is the D-Day Museum in New Orleans? Because as President Eishenhower stated to Dr. Stephen Ambrose "Andrew Jackson Higgins is the man who won the war for us. Without Higgins Designed boats that could land over open beaches the whole strategy of the war would have to be re-thought." Fact: In September 1943, the very middle of the war the american navy totaled 14,072 vessels of these boats 12,964 92% of the entire U.S. Navy, were designed by Higgins Industries, 8.865 were built at Higgins Plants in New Orleans. By Wars End 20,094 boats had been built by 30,000 New Orleanians at the SEVEN Higgins Plants in New Orleans. This explains WHY the National D-Day Museum is located here !

We then went to the movie at the museum, called Beyond All Boundaries! SOOO GOOD :) It was in 4D!

After the movie, we went back to the hotel for some relaxing and i took a nap! It was divine.

For dinner, we went to Le Petit Grocery! delicious :)

And then we made our way down to Bourbon Street! Even though i’m not the biggest fan of it… we went to get a hand granade! I had never actually had one… ha. Andrew and I ended up getting “turtles”! It was actually good, with  a lot of alcohol!
