Last saturday, well actually Saturday before last, Carly and I went downtown for some good ol’ sweating and plenty of fun! We both wanted to go to the Pecan Street Festival, but didn’t want to go by ourselves, so we went together!

We were sweating bullets, but got to hangout and talk and have good girl fun!

We wandered around some more enjoying the view and people watching :)
We walked until we heard the music! The dead black hearts were great! Sad name, but awesome band!

beautiful afternoon!

Carly and I had a lot of fun, but there were plenty of people there ‘keepin it weird’!

We decided it was HOT and we were slightly feeling dehydrated, time to make our way back to the MAIN part of the day! YAY!

We stopped at one of my most favorite buildings for a picture! Gosh i love the Frost Bank Tower! Love the architecture!

Frost Bank!

Earlier in the week, i had talked  encouraged Carly to come with me to watch the LSU/WVU game at Shoal Creek Saloon!
“Shoal Creek Saloon sits on the bank of Austin’s infamous Shoal Creek. Owned by Ray Canfield for over 15 years, the Saloon has a long history of being the favored watering hole of politicos, lobbyists, Austin’s “Weird” and sports fans of all pursuasions.

The Louisiana Cuisine is complimented by the likes of scrumptuous Rib Eye Steaks, Mexican Monday Specials, the biggest Smoked Pork Chop in Texas, and the extra spicey Reynaldo Burger. Lest we forget the full service bar!

Known as the Austin Home of “New Orleans Saints Fans” there are 24 colored TV’s, satellite radio and a full length shuffleboard table you can play for free.

So come and sit Creekside on the best covered, outdoor patio in town and enjoy a truly “Austintacious Dining Experience!”

She gladly obliged :) I had been hearing about the awesome Shoal Creek Saloon for a few weeks now, and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!! It’s the place to go to watch LSU and New Orleans Saints games!!!  I definitely felt at home :) It’s the place to go, ya’ll! It was so much fun, minus that annoying Gators fan  doing the chomp every time Florida scored… ugggggh.  They had Abita Amber and Abita Purple Haze on tap! I was quite the happy girl :)

Shoal Creek Saloon!

yes!

Yes, you are seeing that correctly! That would be a signed Deuce McAllister jersey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good friends, good beer, good food, GREAT FOOTBALL!!!

Can’t wait to go this weekend to watch LSU kick some Florida ass, and for the Saints to show and welcome silly ol’ Cam Newton to the NFL, Gregg Williams style!!!! GEAUX TIGERS! Geaux Saints! WHO DAT!
