THE PLAN!

Yes, it’s been a week since i last posted! Sorry ya’ll it’s been CRAZY busy! But here i am :)

I CAN NOT BELIEVE it’s taken me so long to get internally pumped up and motivated to change my life. That is ONE of the main reasons why i came to AUSTIN!!! I need to take full advantage and opportunity of this new opportunity set before me!

Oh yes, side note– NFL LOCK OUT has been lifted!!!!!!!! I’m so so so excited =)

 

A BIG THANK YOU to my sister and brother-in-law for helping me and supporting me on my weight loss journey! I would not be able to do what i’m trying to do without their help, love, encouragement, and support!  For the next few months, i’ll be staying with my sister and brother-in-law saving money, and helping with the cooking and learning more about cooking myself!

My plan for my weight loss:

  • I will be following Weight Watchers Plan, weighing in at meetings once a week, and going to meetings more than once a week if needed!  And i hope to get weight watchers chat started back soon! If you’re interested in moderating, please contact me via email lessbrittmorelife [at] gmail [dot] com
  • I’m pretty sure i’ll be joining Gold’s Gym! Like 98% sure. That decision will be confirmed later this week! I love the Cardio Theater! It’s like a movie theater, just with cardio machines instead of seats!  I look forward to doing fun classes like yoga, pilates, Body Pump, Body Jam, Zumba, and much much more!
  • I am in the process of finding a therapist to work with that i like and trust! While i’m working on the physical part of weight loss, i need to work on the emotional part as well!
  • I’ll be doing some kind of exercise 7 days/week!
  • Oh yes, i’m in process of training for my 2nd half-marathon in October in Austin! woo hoo :) Slowly but surely i’ll be working up to my 13.1 miles distance!
  • My sister and have got a groupon for 5 personal training sessions and 1 evaluation, so i’ll be starting that soon too!
  • I’m thinking about starting working with a personal trainer at Gold’s gym once i join!
  • I’ll be working on grocery shopping on Sunday mornings, and figuring out meal plans and what i’ll be cooking and eating during the week!
  • Having a plan which make, making food decisions much easier! I’m getting in a habit of packing my lunch for work, it’ll make have something healthy to eat while the drug reps bring lunch to the office that is normally not always the best for me :)
More to come later, once i’ve got more confirmed and detailed plans!
Work is really going great and i’m still living it lots! Definitely a new environment, new system to learn, new people and patients, but it’s going great to far!

Transition

Someone today commented on my recent post or on twitter, about sharing about my transition. Good point!

 

I feel that life is kind of at a holding point right now.  I’m still working in Lafayette, and packing as i can.  Knowing that i’ll be moving soon, and i’m more excited than anything to be moving.  I feel as that most of my friends here are off doing their own thing, which is true. They’re either in school, married with kids, engaged and in school, working with kids, or working and about to have their first child.  It’s frustrating not having anyone that i can hangout with, or feel like i don’t have anyone to hangout with.

 

Sure over the past few months, my patience for waiting has grown. But seriously, i’m ready to be in Austin already!

 

I’m not so great at this waiting game though– not great at waiting for life to happen, not so great at waiting for my weight loss to kick into high gear again, not so great at waiting for love to happen.

 

I feel like my blogging has come to kind of a halt during this transition time.  I’ve just been working, attempting to pack, or avoiding pack because i’m so overwhelmed by it.  I just don’t know what to write or talk about right now, and i know that’s okay.  It’s just kind of scary!  I don’t know how the bloggers do it who post 2-3 times a day! I mean realllly?! How does one do that?! phewwwww.

 

I want to be out there, living life, loving with no regrets, exploring to my heart’s content, and doing it all to 110% brittany intense fashion :)

On the cover of a magazine?

Today Josie AKA Yum Yucky posted this on Facebook “I’m really bored with celebs on magazine covers. I want to see normal peeps on covers & read their stories. Just sayin’.”

Got me thinking!

How right is she. Why do celebreties and famous people always have to be on the front of magazine covers? What’s so wrong with putting normal people. Just regular ol’ people on the front of magazine covers. It would be great to see people who are working hard, making mindstyle and lifestyle changes in their lives. How amazing and inspiring would that be? To read stories on a weekly basis in the news and covers of magazines of people who are making real and active changes in their lives.

I would certainly inspire me and put a smile on my face. I mean who wouldn’t want to see faces like these on covers of magazines in bookstores and check-out lines at the grocery store?

Well some things in my life have happened lately, and i’ve decided that i seriously need to take a look at some things and make some changes. So i’m starting one step at a time and taking it one day at a time.

I’ve finally come to realize that i have a problem with food, and this is the first step to fixing the problem. I’ve got fed up with it, and an doing something about it. One day a time, one step at a time. Losing one pound at a time the right way, is the only way to make any lasting change.

So here’s to making lasting and lifestyle changes.
