20Hello bloggy blog!
Life is great! It’s ALMOST THANKSGIVING!!!! YAY! Which means my bed from my dad and stepmom are coming this weekend… SO SO SO EXCITED!!!! I’ve been alternating sleeping on my sofa and an air mattress! Oh what a difference a real mattress will take! SO EXCITED!
Oh yeah my LSU TIGERS are 10-0 what what!!! 2 more regular season games, the SEC Championship, then ……. BOWL GAMES BABY!!!!!!!! SO proud to be a Louisiana girl!
Oh yeah my NEW ORLEANS SAINTS are doing great! Our defense is kicking ass and taking names! I LOVE FOOTBALL!!!! Wouldn’t change that for anything in the world!
Loving Austin and loving life!
I got a new pair of jeans from Lane Bryant!!! AMAAAAZING! Amazing what a new pair of jeans can do for a girl
))) OH and i also had my modeling debut on Yum Yucky’s blog! Check it out
Oh yes, i also pierced my right ear, the upper cartilidge! Now my ears match
Oh yeah i guess i should mention …………. I went on a date 10 days ago, and i thought it was great! There really seemed to be some great chemistry. But the guy has SERIOUSSSSS communication issues… what gives boys?!! I don’t get it! I’ll text or call him like he said when he called when he was at work– he doesn’t text me back or call me back for 2 days… then i text him 2 days later saying i’m not gonna be in Austin this weekend… let’s hangout before then! HE calls two minutes later, and says he’ll call me back after he finishes dinner with his sister…. Does he call?! uhhh no. And i really liked the boy. Oh well. He’s OVER! On to the next one.
This weekend i went to Orlando for my aunt’s baby shower! So cute! She’s having a boy! Can’t wait to meet the little guy!
New Orleans Part 2
2Glad you’re back for more of my good times in New Orleans
Well Saturday morning my dad got up early and went play golf at Audubon Park, my stepmom and cousin went to Audubon Park for a walk/run; but i did some MUCH needed sleeping in! And it was fabulous!
For lunch, we wanted to go to this place called Butcher, but the wait was 45-60 minutes and we were kinda hungry! We ended up at a cajun restaurant
Mulate’s! So good
For appetizers, we had Boudin and fried alligator! DELICIOUS! And alligator realllly does take like chicken
For my entree, i had a muffelatta! I’ve been living in Louisiana for 25 years and never had one! Such a tragedy! It was so so so good
I had an Abita Amber with my lunch
We next made our way over to the World War 2 Museum! It’s amazing!

"Why is the D-Day Museum in New Orleans? Because as President Eishenhower stated to Dr. Stephen Ambrose "Andrew Jackson Higgins is the man who won the war for us. Without Higgins Designed boats that could land over open beaches the whole strategy of the war would have to be re-thought." Fact: In September 1943, the very middle of the war the american navy totaled 14,072 vessels of these boats 12,964 92% of the entire U.S. Navy, were designed by Higgins Industries, 8.865 were built at Higgins Plants in New Orleans. By Wars End 20,094 boats had been built by 30,000 New Orleanians at the SEVEN Higgins Plants in New Orleans. This explains WHY the National D-Day Museum is located here !
We then went to the movie at the museum, called Beyond All Boundaries! SOOO GOOD
It was in 4D!
After the movie, we went back to the hotel for some relaxing and i took a nap! It was divine.
For dinner, we went to Le Petit Grocery! delicious
And then we made our way down to Bourbon Street! Even though i’m not the biggest fan of it… we went to get a hand granade! I had never actually had one… ha. Andrew and I ended up getting “turtles”! It was actually good, with a lot of alcohol!

This is me telling dad that he needs to get on the left side, because the right side is my good side
It was such a fun night, and good quality alcohol was consumed =)
New Orleans Part I
21Here come the recaps!
We left Lafayette around 11:30 on Friday morning. We made our way down the lovely I-10 eastbound to Baton Rouge via the Atchafalaya Basin for lunch!
We stopped at J. Alexander’s for lunch. So good! I had a big salad with fried chicken strips, AVOCADO (my new fave food!), blue cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers! And a bottle of Blue Moon
Then it was back on the road, to New Orleans!
Then we went to the airport to pick up my cousin, Andrew!
Next we made our way to the French Quarter for some cafe au lait, chocolate milk, and beignets at Cafe Du Monde!
DELICIOUSNESS!
We next walked around the beautiful Jackson Square
and went into St. Louis Cathedral for a few minutes! Didn’t stay long, as the church was closing for a wedding! YAY!
Then we made our way over to our hotel! What a beautiful place!
We got settled into the hotel, relaxed a little bit, and then we made our way down the street for some delicious dinner!
We didn’t know it was mainly a wine bar at the time… but it was SO HONKIN GOOD!
We shared a few appetizers– shrimp and grits, proscuitto. For dinner i had a 6 oz filet mignon, with mashed potatoes and portabello mushrooms! D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S. And 2 glasses of this FABULOUS glass of white wine, which i can’t remember the name of! I’m a HUGEEEE Riesling fan, and it was something along the lines of a Riesling
Phewww! Fun times! Stay tuned for New Orleans Part 2…
oh so great
