1st Engagement Party of 2011!

22

It seems like everyoneeeee is getting married, engage,d or having babies!  And i’m totally okay that i’m not one of those people! Yes i may be envious of those people at times. But i’m kind of glad it’s not me. I’m a crazy, wild, hard to settle down girl.  I know that future man of mine, is going to be quite the catch! He’s gonna have his hands full, “wrasssslin” a girl like me :)

I’m so excited for my friend Erika, and her fiancee Michael. They’re so cute. Erika and i have been friends for almost 6 years, and we’ve been through a lot in our friendship. The good times of being single, the downs of having her heart completely broken in relationships, her moving 3 hours away to start Grad School, her finding Michael, and being really excited,  and her getting engaged!!!!!!! I’m more than excited andhonored to be a part of their big day on October 1st!

Yesterday was there Engagement Party at Chicot State Park! We had soooo much fun :)

I finally got my 1st balloon to blow up :)

The front doors with our beautiful balloons! My ADD balloons on the left, and Jeanne's normal balloons on the right!

Mrs. Tammy, Erika's mom, bought window paint and i got to write on the windows!!!!! SOOOOO FUN! It says "Erika and Michael are glad you're here!"

Christy and Thomas, the soon-to-be Loustalot's!

The bride and 4 of her bridesmaids!!!

Christy and I!

What a great day :) Can’t wait for the big day! But i do have some work to do weight loss and health wise! It’s time to get serious :)

I just felt soooo big next to the bride and the other bridesmaids. Like it really made me upset and sad, but hey. All i can do is take one day at a time, and try and change myself.  No sense in beating myself up about it!

To my dear valentine…

So Colleen and I came up with this FABULOUSSSSS idea! We decided what’s a better day to celebrate the not so greatness at times day that Valentine’s day can be, than by writing a love letter to ourselves telling ourselves what we love most about ourselves! We’re trying to get this movement going! So check out Colleen’s post and if you did one… put the link at the bottom of her post! Or if you want you can leave a comment on my post — letting us know that you wrote one :)

1st- I’ll be on my way to Austin in less than 72 hours! I CAN NOT BELIEVE that the half-marathon is almost here! oh em geee. Funny story– my sister who lives in New Mexico made plans last week to come for the race, but didn’t bother to look and see that the race is sold out! So she already booked her plane tickets, now she’s coming to Austin with hopes of getting a spot to run the Austin Livestrong Half-marathon!

2nd-ly, what’s a better way to embrace Valentine’s Day than by writing an Operation Beautiful note! Given, the note’s on my bathroom mirror— but hey I have to start with me :)

Operation Beautiful was started by Caitlin Boyle, of Healthy Tipping Point — please check Operation Beautiful out if you haven’t already and buy the book. It’s amazing and such a life changer!

Operation Beautiful.com, baby!

My dearest Brittany,

I love my legs, as not as muscular as i would like to be, they are still amazing. I love that my legs allow me to dance and to be the carefree person that i am.  I love that my legs let me drive on the open roads when i need to get out of the house. I love that my legs, take me places that i have never been.  I love my size 8.5 – 9 feet, even though sometimes you look smaller!

dance legs, dance!

I love your laughter and smile. When you smile, the whole room lights up. You can change all of the hate in the world, when you smile. I love the way that when you smile, the whole world can see the joy and happiness that is in your heart. I love that you can smile at just about anything. I love that you can laugh at just about everything. I love how sometimes, you’re just sitting there in the silence and start laughing histerically for no specific reason at all!

laughter

smile for all the world to see

I love your kick ass hair. It is so amazing. If I were not you, i would be totally jealous of your amazing curls. How amazing it is that you are blessed with those beautiful curls. Sure your hair may have a mind of its own some or most days, but it really is quite amazing.

hairrrrrr

straight hairrrrs, yo.

flowers.... yay.

smiles.

I do up-dos too :)

I love your heart. You are such a kind, sharing, loving, passionate, consideration, kick ass person. Any person in the world would be lucky to be friends with you.  When you finally find that guy you’re meant to be with, all the wait and time will make it worth it.  You are beautiful, talented, gorgeous, strong, and amazing!

geeeeek.

You've got a lot of heart, lady!

You are so amazing. Keep being you, and no one else!!!

Love always,

Me

Well some things in my life have happened lately, and i’ve decided that i seriously need to take a look at some things and make some changes. So i’m starting one step at a time and taking it one day at a time.

I’ve finally come to realize that i have a problem with food, and this is the first step to fixing the problem. I’ve got fed up with it, and an doing something about it. One day a time, one step at a time. Losing one pound at a time the right way, is the only way to make any lasting change.

So here’s to making lasting and lifestyle changes.

More to come later …..

missing you.

so tonight i saw Nights in Rodanthe with randi, her mom, and her great aunt. it’s a movie based off of a book of the same title by Nicholas Sparks.

So Good!!! i haven’t cried that much in a movie in almost a year since P.S. I Love You.

God seems to reveal things to me in movies sometimes. It is quite interesting i find.

At the end of the movie, the mother character tells the daughter to hold out for a love that will make you a better person than you already are. I feel that is what God is trying to tell me lately.

He knows that i am tired of waiting for the so called “one”. He knows that my wait and perserverance in virtue of chastity has not been for nothing.
He knows that i want to love someone without limits, and i want to love someone so much and make them better than they already are.

He knows i am lonely. He knows i get depressed sometimes from being lonely. I just need to lean on God when i do get lonely. He alone can fill my heart.

Almost i had some feeling in my heart of what my shay went through when papa red died. Maybe not exactly what it was like for her, but i know that she is lonely like i am. and she misses him too.

Also, i felt that i understood what it was like for my dad to lose his father at some level. That he died and was sick and as a doctor could not do anything to save him. i love my father for that. It really did mean something to me to see my dad cry and for me to know that he is not all mighty. We all have our weaknesses. Not one of us is perfect, no matter what we may think.

papa red i miss you and i love you. i want to see you face and hear your laugh and hear your stories. i can not wait until we meet again in Heaven.
